Thrustless.

Today was an awesome day. and I am exhausted. We did the best job docking today! (the Captain says so!) but before all that, we had a whole day on the water and we saw some really cool stuff... here you go!

just as we pulled away from the dock (at 6:15), we were able to get this picture of Oak Island lighthouse:a lighthouse lit up! Imagine! :D

As requested, I was able to document us entering Cape Fear:

While approaching Wilmington, we passed our friend we saw in Jax! Five Star! and I was able to get virtually the same picture I got on Friday, but in reverse!

here's a guy just makin his living selling bait from a cute little shack:

we had to go through a whole bunch of bridges, some of which they had to open for us! (we're very tall...)

this first one is Wrightsville Beach:

this one is the Figure 8 swing bridge... that's right it pivots!

next was the really good stuff: yard art. These North Carolinians go all out!

GIRAFFE:

HIPPO:(I know it's hard to see, but I promise you that not only is that a hippo, but it's the brightest pink hippo EVER!)

SWAN:

There was also a huge metal structure that looked like a cross between a mermaid and Neptune... but when I tried to take a picture of it, there was so much light reflecting from it, the entire picture was bright white light... so, there you go... our day in a nutshell.

  2. A cross between a mermaid and Neptune, Roman god of the Sea? Or Neptune, the planet?
