60 degrees. In August.

8.7.09

Today we’re in Flushing, New York. In front of us is Shea Stadium, behind us is LaGuardia- check out these pictures of the planes landing:

To get here, we came up the Hudson, then the East River. We got to see all of the city- it was so cool- got some really great pictures as well!

Here’s a picture of one of the crazy-fast Ferries (those two buildings behind him are pretty cool too):

Here's one of us coming up to both the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge:

The Brooklyn Bridge:

The Manhattan Bridge (my favorite I think):

The Empire State Building from a couple different angles than yesterday:

The Chrysler Building:

The Queensborough Bridge:

We had a lazy day today- no need to wash down the boat. We were only traveling for about an hour and a half. (It was supposed to be longer, but we were traveling with about a 5 knot current- we were bookin'!)

After Dick and Fran left to catch their plane home, we had some lunch on the boat and then Barry and I set out for the grocery store. We got most of what we needed and were home within an hour- we’re pros.

I did laundry, tried to get an internet signal, but for the most part, had a lazy day and enjoyed every minute of it!

Here’s a picture of the sun setting over LaGuardia:

p.s. wasn’t The Nanny from Flushing? I’m trying to remember the theme song.
